  • Some laptops and desktop computers can be upgraded to Windows 11 without having to buy a new computer. Typically, devices from 2018 or later can be upgraded. Usually a device with an 8th Generation Intel or 2000 series AMD processor can run Windows 11.

If in doubt, reach out. We will be able to let you know if you can install Windows 11 on your current computer, or whether you will need to upgrade to a new model.

  • The exact value of your device will vary depending on a few factors like condition, hardware specifications, make and model, and device age. We can provide an exact price after inspection.

You can expect an estimate along these lines:

    1-3 Years Old | i5/i7 – SSD – Clean and Working | $150 - $300

    3-5 Years Old | i5/i3 - HDD or SSD - Minor Wear | $75 - $150

    5-7 Years Old | i3 - HDD - Slow but Functional | $25 - $75

    7+ Years Old | Outdated hardware, Visible Wear | $0 - $25

Non-Functioning Device | Won’t Power On - Physical Damage | No Credit (Recycle Only)

  • There are many very good reasons to make sure you are using a version of Windows that is getting updates.

    No More Security Updates

Think of it like locking your house door, but leaving the windows open.
Microsoft will stop patching new security holes, so your computer becomes a much easier target for hackers and viruses. It's easier for cybercriminals to steal things like your banking info, passwords, or identity - even if you’re just browsing or checking email.

    New Software Will Stop Working

Over time, apps like Google Chrome, Office, and antivirus programs will stop updating or working properly - just like trying to run new apps on an old phone. Many banks, government websites, and cloud apps may refuse to work or help you if you’re using an outdated, unsafe software.

    Old Features May Stop Working

If you are using certain features such as OneDrive, Microsoft 365, or Teams, Microsoft may stop their operation on Windows 10, meaning you cannot work the way you need to.

Ultimately, there are many real threats on the internet that can cause real world problems like identity theft, money fraud, and reputation damage. Using up-to-date software is a very simple and effective way to prevent you from being a target.
